The Black Diamond Progression Mitts are a freeride and ski touring mitten engineered for sustained cold and variable snow conditions where a glove doesn't provide enough protection. A 100% goat leather shell provides durability and grip, backed by a GORE-TEX waterproof/breathable insert with Gore Plus Warm Technology. Insulation is zoned by function: 200g PrimaLoft Gold Cross Core fills the back of the hand for warmth retention, while 80g PrimaLoft Gold Eco with Grip Control lines the palm to preserve dexterity on pole plants and zipper pulls. EVA padding across the back of the hand and thumb adds protection from knuckle impact, and a neoprene hook-and-loop wrist closure cinches over a jacket cuff without gaps. Rated to -10°F (-23°C) at the lower end of the temperature range, the pair weighs 240.9 grams and sizes run XS through XL.
